VINEYARD MANAGER

Matt joined the team at Martinborough Vineyard way back in 1996. During his time at MV he has worked thoroughly in both winery and vineyard operations including overseas harvests in Australia and the USA.

In 2002 he chose to focus primarily on the vineyard activities of the business. His appointment as Vineyard Manager occurred in December 2004.


Matt leads a team of enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic vineyard staff who ensure our vineyards are managed to yield fruit with the ultimate balance of complexity and structure.


The vineyard actively promotes sustainability, using organic means where possible, to limit the impact on our environment. The winery & vineyard’s environmental management systems are ISO 14001 accredited.
