2006 jackson block Riesling

Jackson Block Rieling bottleSlow, cool fermentation has produced a vibrant sytle, stopped just short of dryness. Our Riesling has aromatic notes of floral, citrus, spice and honeysuckle. The palate shows a touch of flint, and creaminess, with length and a crisp finish.

Vineyard
The grapes are sourced from the Jackson Vineyard on the Martinborough Terrace. This small family owned vineyard is intensively tended by hand. The vines are now 15 years old and consistently deliver quality fruit with flavour and balance.

Winemaking
The fruit is hand sorted, hand harvested and gently whole-bunch pressed for finesse. Slow, cool fermentation retains focus on classic Riesling characters. Martinborough Vineyard Riesling is enjoyable while young but develops further complexity and interest over time, and can be cellared for 10+ years.
